Commercial Playground Project Goals

The goals of this project were to create a safe and engaging outdoor environment for students by installing modern playground structures, protective shade structures, and comfortable site amenities. The playground equipment was designed to promote physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play for children of varying ages and abilities. Sun Sail Shade structures help provide protection from the sun, allowing students to play and gather comfortably throughout the day. The addition of park benches and picnic tables offer spaces for rest, supervision, and outdoor learning opportunities. Poured in place rubber playground surfacing enhanced overall safety and accessibility by providing a durable, slip resistant surface that helps protect children from falls while ensuring the playground is accessible to all users.

School Play Space Project Details and Features

This project included the installation of multiple play and site amenities designed to create a safe, accessible, and engaging recreational space. Playground Equipment installed included the Barrington Ridge Playground System, Camp Walden Playground System, Ketchum Playground System, a two bay arch post Commercial Swing Set, and a T-Swing. To support comfort, the site also features four portable metal outdoor benches, one portable picnic table, and one ADA accessible portable picnic table. Shade coverage was enhanced with a 30′ x 24′ x 10′ Hip Sunny Shade with Glide Elbows and a 45′ x 28′ x 15′ Standard Hip Shade structure. Safety surfacing consisted of a 50/50 mix of black and blue poured in place rubberised surfacing installed beneath key play areas, including 1,419 square feet under the Barrington Ridge playground, 1,152 square feet under the swing set area, 572 square feet under the Ketchum Play System, and 440 square feet under the T-Swing, providing durable and accessible fall protection throughout the playground.
