Client Profile

Good Shepherd Church and Day School, located in Tampa, Florida, is a Lutheran church and early childhood education center that serves families in the South Tampa community. Founded in 1952, the church offers weekly worship services, children’s church, and community events focused on faith, fellowship, and outreach. Alongside the church, the Good Shepherd Day School provides a faith-based early learning program for children ages approximately 20 months to 5 years old. The school emphasizes a nurturing environment that blends Christian values with the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, encouraging creativity, exploration, and academic development through hands-on learning and collaborative play.

Commercial Playground Project Goals

The goals of our project were to install two modern pieces of play equipment that provide a safe and engaging outdoor play environment for children. The new playgrounds were designed to encourage active play, creativity, and social interaction while supporting the needs of the school’s early childhood programs. The use of high quality artificial turf surfacing enhance safety by providing consistent impact attenuation and improving accessibility Overall, the project aimed to create exciting play spaces that promote physical activity and enjoyment for students and the school community.

School Play Space Project Details and Features

This project included the installation of two quick ship playground sets, the Powells Bay and Kings Ridge, both selected in a neutral color palette to create a cohesive and welcoming play environment that complements the surrounding campus. The playground systems provide a variety of play activities that encourage climbing, sliding, and imaginative play for young children. The installation also included approximately 1,320 square feet of synthetic turf surfacing, providing a safe and durable play surface with reliable fall protection. Together, these features create an aesthetic and functional playground space designed to support active play and long term use by the school community.
