Community Playground Project – Play Area for Neighborhood in Summerdale, Alabama

The goal of our project was to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive play environment for children in the neighborhood through the installation of new playground equipment with poured in place rubber surfacing. This initiative aimed to promote outdoor activity, social interaction, and physical development in a space that is accessible to children of all abilities. The playground equipment was designed to encourage imaginative play and active fun, while the rubber playground flooring provides a smooth impact absorbing foundation that enhances safety and ensures ADA compliance.

Our project involved the installation of the Huntsville Playing Playground, a dynamic and inclusive playground structure designed to offer a variety of physical and imaginative play opportunities for children of all ages. The system includes multiple slides, climbers, interactive panels, and shaded areas to promote fun, engagement, and social interaction. Complementing the play system, we installed 2,100 square feet of rubberised play surface, which provides a seamless and impact absorbing surface for enhanced safety. The PIP surfacing is ADA compliant, ensuring accessibility for children with mobility challenges. Together, these features create a vibrant, safe, and inviting play area that supports the physical and developmental needs of the neighborhood’s children.
