Community Playground Project – Playground for Apartment Complex in Walker, Louisiana

Playground Project Goals

The goal of this project was to provide residents with a safe and engaging outdoor recreation area through the installation of a new commercial playground system and rubber mulch safety surfacing. The project was designed to enhance opportunities for physical activity, social interaction, and child development while improving the overall appeal and functionality of the property. The playground equipment and impact absorbing surfacing meets applicable safety standards, creating an exciting play environment for children of all ages.

Playground Set Project Details and Features

This project included the installation of the Honolulu Playground Set, creating a fun and engaging play area for children. The scope of work also included the placement of nine pallets of uncoated rubber playground mulch to provide impact absorbing safety surfacing throughout the play zone. To help contain the surfacing and define the playground area, 36 borders and one accessible ramp were installed, improving both safety and accessibility for users.
