Client Profile

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church & School in Port Charlotte, Florida, is a combined parish and educational community rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition. The church offers regular worship services, sacramental celebrations, faith formation programs for all ages, and a variety of ministries that support spiritual growth and community engagement. The attached school serves students from pre-k through middle school, providing a faith based academic program focused on spiritual and intellectual development and fostering lifelong learners who value and live their Catholic faith. Together, the parish and school aim to nurture both the spiritual life and educational foundation of families in the region.

School Playground Project Goals

Our project goals were to provide the school with a safe, engaging, and long lasting play environment by installing a new playground set designed to encourage active play and support student development. We also installed a shade structure to help protect students and staff from sun exposure and improve overall comfort during outdoor use. To enhance safety and accessibility, rubber play surfacing was added to create a durable, low maintenance surface that helped reduce the risk of injuries and supported daily school activities.

Commercial Playground Project Details and Features

This project featured the installation of a modified Baraboo Outdoor Play Set in a neutral color scheme, creating a modern and inviting play space. Additional play components included a Teeter Duo, Zigzag Balance Beam, and Fidget Spinner to encourage active movement, balance, and interactive play for children of all ages. A 36’x36’x10’ shade system with a brown frame and forest green fabric was installed to provide sun protection and improve comfort throughout the play area. To complete the space with a safe and durable surface, 3,270 square feet of poured in place rubber playground flooring was installed for long lasting performance and accessibility.
