Installed a new playset, musical features, and poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing to create a secure, active play environment for a school.

Client Profile

St. Peter Catholic School, located in DeLand, Florida, is a faith-driven Pre‑K (including VPK) through 8th‑grade institution with a rich legacy of over 70 years in educating students across Volusia and Seminole Counties. As a ministry of St. Peter Catholic Parish, the school is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference and fosters spiritual growth through daily prayer, weekly Mass, and service initiatives, all integrated into a curriculum of academic excellence. Serving around 218 to 245 students with a favorable student teacher ratio, it offers comprehensive instruction in core subjects religion, language arts, math, science, social studies, and Spanish. Alongside enriching special areas like art, music, computer, PE, and library skills. In short, St. Peter Catholic School provides a nurturing, academically rigorous, and values-centered environment, preparing students to excel both spiritually and intellectually.

School Play Space Project Goals

Our project goals were to enhance the school’s outdoor play area by installing new playtime equipment that encouraged active play, social interaction, and physical development for students. To improve safety and accessibility, we also installed poured in place rubber safety surfacing to provide a durable, low maintenance surface designed to help reduce the risk of injuries. Overall, the upgrades were completed to create a safer, more engaging, and long lasting playground environment for daily school use.

Playground Project Details and Features

This project included the installation of the Ann Arbor Outdoor Play Set, creating an engaging and age appropriate play space designed for active use. A Glockenspiel was also added as an interactive musical feature to encourage sensory play, creativity, and inclusive participation for children of all abilities. To complete the area with a safe and durable surface, poured in place rubberised flooring was installed to provide long lasting safety surfacing that supported accessibility and helped reduce the risk of injuries.
