Community Playground Project – Play Area for Apartment Complex in Ocala, Florida

Community Play System Project Goals

Our project goals for the playground installation were focused on creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable outdoor space that meets the needs of the community. We achieved this by installing durable commercial playground equipment designed for active play, along with a commercial shade structure to provide comfort and protection from the sun. To ensure safety and accessibility, we added rubber mulch surfacing, playground borders, and an ADA-compliant ramp. Supporting amenities such as a trash can, a rectangular picnic table, and a rotating grill were included to encourage family gatherings and long-term use of the space. Together, these features enhance both play and community engagement while promoting accessibility for all users.

Play Area Project Details and Features

The project included the installation of the Brooks Towers Outdoor Playset in the bold and vibrant Primary color scheme, creating an exciting focal point for the play area. To encourage relaxation and gatherings, two 8-foot rectangular picnic tables in champagne with ocean blue accents were set beneath a coordinating commercial shade sail structure, offering both comfort and style. A 32-gallon trash can was added to promote cleanliness, while safety and accessibility were prioritized with 10 supersacks of soft blue rubber mulch, 44 sturdy playground borders, and an ADA-compliant ramp. We also included a rotating grill that adds versatility for outdoor cooking and community events. Together, these features transform the space into a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for all.
