Commercial Play Space Project Goals

The goals of this project were to create a safe, engaging, and active outdoor environment through the installation of new playground equipment, climbers, and a fitness course. These additions were designed to promote physical development, strength, coordination, and social interaction while encouraging children to stay active through a variety of play and movement opportunities. The installation of wood mulch surfacing enhances safety by providing a natural impact attenuating surface, while also improving the overall appearance and long term functionality of the play area.

School Project Details and Features

This project included the installation of two exciting playground systems, the Guarded Gatehouse Playground Set and the Banneret Borough Play System, designed to provide a wide range of play opportunities that encourage physical activity, creativity, and social interaction. The scope also featured the installation of both an ADA commercial swing set and an arch post commercial swing set, expanding inclusive play options for children of all abilities. Additional unique elements included a Saturn-themed climber and a sarcophagus-themed play climber, adding imaginative and adventurous climbing experiences. To promote health and wellness, a Boot Camp fitness course was installed, consisting of 12 different fitness stations to support strength, balance, and coordination. The project was completed with approximately 6,400 square feet of wood chips.
