Commercial Play Space Project Goals

The goal of this project was to create a welcoming outdoor recreation space for children, families, and the community. The installation of new playground equipment provides opportunities for active play, physical development, and social interaction. The addition of a sun shade structure enhances comfort and usability during warm weather, while rubber mulch surfacing improves safety and accessibility throughout the play area. A new bench provides convenient seating for parents, caregivers, and visitors, creating a comfortable environment for community gathering.

Playground and Shade Project Details and Features

This project featured the installation of the Sunset Harbor playground system in vibrant primary colors, creating an inviting and engaging play environment. To expand recreational opportunities, the site also includes a 1-Bay, 1-Cantilever swing set that encourages active play and social interaction. User comfort and supervision was enhanced with the addition of a durable 6-foot park bench strategically placed near the play area. A custom designed sunny shade structure measuring 30′ x 28′ x 10′ with a 10 foot entry height was added to provide protection from the sun, increasing the usability of the playground throughout the year. The entire play area was surfaced with Mocha Brown playground mulch, offering a safe, attractive, and low maintenance ground covering that complements the overall design.
