Commercial Playground Project Goals

The goal of this project was to create a space that feels welcoming and cohesive for families and children to enjoy. To bring this vision to life, we enhanced the community area with commercial playground equipment, including a play system, swings, and an industrial shade structure for sun protection. For added comfort and convenience, we installed park benches, trash cans, and a loop bike rack. Safety and accessibility were prioritized with rubber mulch surfacing, while a curved cantilever shade structure was added to the pool area to provide shade for seating. Dog park amenities were also incorporated, resulting in a safe, inclusive, and engaging neighborhood destination for residents of all ages.

Community Play Area Project Details and Features

This project involved installing the Ditch Plains Neutral play system and a one-bay single post playground swing with one cantilever arm, shaded by a 30’x30’x12’ hip shade system. The site features four park benches, six trash receptacles, and a loop bike rack. Surfacing included 16 supersacks of black rubber playground mulch, 48 eight-inch borders, and an ADA half ramp. Additionally, a Novice Dog Park Kit was installed across two areas, featuring Fido fountains, waste receptacles, and welcome signs, creating a well-equipped outdoor play and pet-friendly environment.
