Suncoast Meadows in Land O’ Lakes, Florida is a residential neighborhood in Land O’ Lakes, Pasco County. These features were designed for family friendly recreation and neighborhood gatherings.

Communal Recreational Space Project Goals

Our project goals were to create a safe outdoor environment that supports inclusive use for all ages and abilities, while installing durable fitness and playground equipment. We included compliant, impact absorbing rubberised mulch to help reduce injuries and incorporate play features that encourage physical activity, social interaction, and developmental growth. In addition, we added commercial shade structures to reduce heat exposure, extend comfortable playtime, and improve year round usability, ultimately enhancing the overall experience for families and community members.

Commercial Playground Project Details and Features

This project included a full playground and site enhancement installation designed to provide a fun, inclusive, and engaging recreation space for all ages. The play area features a Huntsville playground set, a 2-bay swing set with two cantilever swings, and several exciting freestanding components including a Galaxy Disc, Zig Zag, Teeter Duo, a Charlie Chomper Spring Rider, and a Fidget Spinner sit and spin to support active play, balance, and sensory interaction. The fitness zone included three double station units: Sky Walker, Sit Up, and Lat Pulldown. These encourage adult and teen wellness activities. To improve comfort, the site received a custom multi-sail shade structure using four fabrics (30’ x 47’ x 54’) with varying elevations at the central column for added coverage and visual impact. Safety surfacing consisted of 34 super sacks of black loose rubber mulch installed at a six inch depth, contained by 78 eight inch borders and includes one ADA half ramp for accessible entry. Finishing features included three 6 foot in ground park benches with backs, providing comfortable seating for caregivers and visitors.
