Project Scope

The scope of this project included the installation of the Modified Quincy commercial playground system, a single-row pebble bridge, and supporting site amenities. The project also included the installation of a Metro bench, Zion trash receptacle, 11 super sacks of coated rubber mulch, and 40 eight-inch border timbers to complete the playground area.

Client Profile

St. Matthew’s House, located in Naples, Florida, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness, hunger, addiction, and poverty throughout Southwest Florida. Through services including emergency shelter, addiction recovery, transitional housing, food assistance, and workforce development, the organization empowers people to achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency. This project was completed in partnership with GL Homes, a longtime community supporter of St. Matthew’s House, whose philanthropic efforts have helped enhance the campus and create welcoming spaces that benefit the families and children they serve.

Project Goals

The goal of this project was to create a welcoming and engaging outdoor recreation space that encourages active play, social interaction, and imaginative exploration. The project included the installation of commercial play equipment, a pebble bridge, a bench, and a trash receptacle to enhance both play value and visitor comfort. Coated playground mulch with border timbers was also installed to provide a durable, low-maintenance play environment.

Project Details and Features

This project featured the installation of the Modified Quincy commercial playground system, paired with a single-row pebble bridge to add an engaging balance and climbing element for children. The play area was complemented with a Metro park bench and Zion trash receptacle, providing convenient amenities for visitors. To complete the space, 11 super sacks of coated rubber mulch and 40 eight-inch border timbers were installed, creating an exciting play space.
